A few people and I have been talking about starting up a bass club in our home town. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to start or what to do?

is it a weekend club, are you going to fish only one lake or many, are you fishing as individuals or teams.
what you may want to do it once you have the general info about how you want to structure it go on the internet and look up clubs that have a similar setup and look at their rules.
it could save you months of trial and error from clubs that have been successful for years.

It will most likely be a once a month tournament club and we will be fishing a few different lakes around our area and it will be individual tournament but you can fish more then one to a boat.

If you are looking at everyone fishing individually from either the front or back of the boat, check out GarTex Bass Club. If you have general questions on running a Club, I have a bit of experience at that. Feel free to PM me

If you want to be an affiliated club to B.A.S.S. or The Bass Federation, you'll find great information about setting up a club. Although there is a fee with them, you get insurance coverage and other benefits. See BASS here for example: Bass Nation Club
