Been to both recently and I'd say, Amistad for numbers, Falcon for big fish. Pretty simple. Both are pretty low (you can still run them easily) but they're fishing pretty well, especially Amistad.

just got back from falcon.....almost any rocky/gravel point with birds on it is gonna be loaded with shad and bass...go by falcon tackle and get some zoom watermelon magic flukes..(we probably went through 20 packs of those things in a week).we threw it on C-rig and caught 40-60 fish each day...lot of small keepers but enough big bites to keep it interesting.....we had better luck from just north of tigers to halfway to the dam on American side...

If the shad spawn is on do not discount a chartreuse and white Chatter bait with a baby left trailer!

Look for the birds.

We had a 6+ on Saturday, 7-8 and 7-5 on Sunday last weekend on Amistad. I prefer Falcon for sure, but I'd go back to big blue in a minute (or 7 hours I guess).

Fishing was good for us at Amistad right up until the BLT Sunday after the cold front. Didn`t adjust well.

Was at Amistad 4/6-4/30. Fished windy points along the west side(old railroad track)going into Castle. Also north points in San Pedro. 20+ fish per day most all were on t-rig motor oil power worm. Three over 5 lbs, one 4 lb, bunches between 1.5 and 3 lbs.

We fished Amistad last Friday and landed 20+, ranging from 1-4 pounds, one at 5 pounds. Not too bad for taking a day off from work! smile

Something to think about, Amistad has dropped 9 ft in the last 3 to 4 weeks, round some of those points a little wider.
