Went over there today and I know there was a sharelunker caught out there this year. I brought my rods to catch some bass and planned to fish the dam. I ended up having to take a work call and was only allowed to make a few casts. Anyone have any tips or places on the lake to walk to. Ive read past post on it, and it looks like people are scared to leave there car alone lol

lol everyone has flocked to that place to catch big bass. I can tell you right now that that place is a dink fest. THe guy who caught the biggun just so happened to be in the right place at the right time like how I caught my PB at benbrook (10 lbs even off the bank). All of our lakes have bigguns lurking around somewhere but some lakes are better for a biggun and some not so much..
but, if you're willing to try, you can pretty much fish areas all around the lake depending on your comfort zone as far as woods and thick brush go. The sidewalk goes around the whole lake and I'm sure there are plenty of little spots to get in and out of.
As far as your car........idiot thieves can be anywhere, any lake, at any time.
Good luck and I hope you find a biggun!!

When I lived in Saginaw, I fished it often in my bass boat. Fun little lake and there was a time when it wasn't a dink fest. There is a huge flat up by the college that would hold fish each spring. Go in there and drift fish with a Senko and literally catch 5 fish on every drift.

I would always jig fish or use a shakey head on the damn with good success.

Favorite was fishing the cattails by the slalom course and pulling chunks out of the reeds. You have to get there before dawn to not disturb the skiers, they don't like fisherman in their area.

Great topwater action up the west arm way back in the creek.
