So can you run both at the same time and by that I mean have one in one SD slot and one in the other? I am running an 1198.

I found this to be true also Johnny. Blew my mind trying to figure out which map card was right. Navionics is much more accurate with less clutter. I seldom use the lakemaster card now.

No I don't think you can use both at the same time. I have one of each in different units.

The lakemaster card is good in its own way. Ability to highlight shallow water and target depths is why I got it. I had the navionics card a long time before I got the lm. I did find that navionics is more accurate on EM. I haven't really compared on other lakes yet.
You just have to watch your depth numerals closer to see changes that aren't consistent with the LM. chart.

You go back in time on Em with lakemaster. Work the area while watching your depth then make a waypoint on top of a hump and the bottom of the slope. You will find the LM chart of is off quite a bit. An update may resolve this problem. I may check it out soon.

I have the navionics on my phone and is pretty accurate. I would imagine it would be even more so with the card. Well, easier to read anyway. Don't have to keep my phone lit up the whole time. I fish at night quite a bit during the warmer months and I'd really like it for layin a track, also.

I have a hummingbird 997c. I have two sad slots. One has navionics hotmaps south premium vol2.19 sd card. Other sd card is navionics USA central. Vol 1.18. I have never used them. Can someone tell me how to access them?

Plug the cards into the slots. Go into the menu and open up the chart select. Then which card slot that has the map card in you want to view

Thanks 44Diesel. I'm out of town right now but I'll try it soon as I get back. Does boat need to be in the water or can I access the maps while in my garage?

So if I was to buy the navi card for my unit, what would be my best bet?

I have both and prefer Lakemaster, but accuracy does vary in different lakes.
