I remember Randy back in 1982 set a willow limb right out by a small creek feed-in on the Brazos River up from TX 21 bridge. He put on a fair size top water minnow. Later he came back to check it. His limb was slapping the ground again & again, but never snapped nor pulled out. It had a 19# Yellow on it. Willow branches are practically indestructible as to snapping. They are almost like rubber, due to them always having retained so much moisture.

He also said he caught a 22# Yellow off of my stake at the Rock Wall just a little further up river. I had caught a 26 pound Yellow off of it in 1981. And that is the area that Newt (one of my YellowCat teachers taught me). His biggest there in 1980 was a 35# Yellow on one of my Super Shiners & brought him in by my dip net.

been out a few times already, only things that have bit were a freshwater drum and an alligator gar using cut bluegill. tried using stinkbaits one day for 3 hours and no bites.

i have been fishing a long but slinder lake called Espantosa lake between Carrizo Springs and Crystal City Texas. there are places to fish at, one is where the dam is on the southern side of the lake and the second is of hwy 83 on midway road if anyone wants to google maps it lol.

as for the current, its from another location north of crystal city off fm1025 on the nueces river. that place is usualy overcrowded so i dont go by there anymore.

there isnt bulkheads there just steep banks or really brushy cover which are guaranteed snags every cast.

i will probably go gopro the area we fish and post on youtube for ideas.

Hi, I'm Faith and I'm addicted to fishing. Now if you don't mind, I'll be getting back to my fishing.

Ok as most of you know I buy more Stubbys bait than any other non guide customer he has. Right now I am fishing shallow. Now fish in the wind, that is important.
