i asked a couple of months ago if anyone had ever planted green onions from the grocery store.had a couple of guys said do it they will grow so instead of planting dixon dale onions i planted a 12x20'bed of green onions.well guess what they grew straight up,bout 30" tall and the bulb is the size of you thumb. btw these were organic green onions from market street. let my misfortune be a lesson for all of us bang

The guy on here grows them that big, but that was the first I ever saw of ones that size.

BTW you bought green onions....I don't think they get big.

I've always been told to plant in Jan/Feb. Seems you plant really early. Are you south?
