Ive got a 99 bass tracker and im trying to find another plug for it as ive lost the origional. Ive looked everywhere and it seems they have stopped making them. Ive found the picture of the exact one but all the reviews say what they send is not the same as the picture. Any ideas where I could get one or am I just forced to re do the whole assembly?

Looks really similar to the drain plug used on Yamaha waverunners.

Yep, the new ones are coarse thread. Seems like I might have seen some fine thread ones at a store a while back. If I go back this week I'll see what they had, they were on clearance for $3 or so.

Man id pay triple that!! I really dont want to replace the entire thing.

If the weather is really windy and I can't fish then I'll run down tomorrow and look, but if the winds not as bad as they are predicting, then I won't be checking.

Ive ordered the two pack and doesnt fit. The one in your first link looks close but in the comments theres a guy saying it didnt fit his 98 tracker. Ive read its really hard to find the earlier fine threaded tracker boat plugs....just my luck.

I found what looks to be a replacement unit on clearance at Walmart, Possibly Academy...I figured I might be needing one, as the current one looks sketchy...I also bought a fine threaded aluminum replacement plug, at Walmart...It doesnt have the little plastic keeper, and requires a crescent wrench to tighten/loosen, but it will make due, as needed. Hope you find what you need.

Well they no longer had the fine thread drains. Might be easier just to change that sucker out.

Seriously??? Its only 2 screws & some 3M. 4200 sealant to replace it. 20 minute job & you wont be off the water long.

ACADEMY has that plastic replacement....Mine was leaking went to acad. but got the chrome plated brass one ,,,,will never have to replace it again!!!!!

I was thinking the same thing. I'm amazed at some of the things people anguish over. By the time you spend time on the phone and searching the Internet, burn gas, and order stuff that won't work, that turns into a $50 drain plug.

Thanks for not adding any value to this thread. If it was just two screws I would of replaced it. Unfortunatley on my boat whoever did the plug used some blind rivits (no big deal) and a mixture of what looks like a ton of 5200 and some other apoxy cement type stuff thats over 20 years old. I garuntee you couldnt get it off in 20 min so why not spend a few days and try to fine the old matching plug that they dont make anymore? I thought the TFF would be a good place to ask for help but instead its just a place for trolls. Go troll someone else.

Let me dig through my box of parts and see if i kept my old plug, not sure I did since the new one is course thread. I'll post back in a bit.
