I'll be retired from this job at 49. Then I'm moving back to the big woods and I'll work in the summer and hunt/fish the rest of the time. 9 years 8 months left... farmer

I'm retiring in 3 weeks. Age 60. Company offers a pretty good incentive to retire at 60.

Financially I could retire now, but I plan on working another 3 years to 62.

I work with several who claim they stay for the insurance. If only a president would make insurance available for the masses. roflmao

Three years ago next month at age 58. I stay as busy as ever, just on different things. The only drawback to retirement is how fast the time seems to go. Time does fly when you're having fun.

I retired at the end of 2014 at age 59 and it has been great. I enjoyed what I was doing and was home every night and weekend but I was ready to leave after 36 years. Originally I planned to work until 65 but several things influenced my decision.

I had planned that myself until I was "retired" without a choice.

I'm looking more at a slowing down age. Need more time off for fishing, hunting, golf...

Planning on 65 would only be sooner if something unexpected happens like a major health issue for example. I could retire earlier and just get insurance thru my wife's work but my job is somewhat rewarding decent salary paid insurance pick my hours...corner office...etc. It is stressful at times but most of the time not too bad. I am older than my wife so the longer I work the less she will have to. For now I am maxing out my 401k for the last few years then will call it a day in 3 years and 9 months...but who's counting grin

I retired at 60. Took my Social Security at 62 and have already recovered what I paid in and working on the employer side now.

dec 25th of 2007 was my last official work day for a company due to blowing out the knee.

I stay busy out here, draw my ss and a small paycheck for managing the ranch.

only took from christmas day of 07 to dec. of 12 for me to be released back to work but by then no one wanted to hire me due to age. screw em!
