Where is the best place to get some live bait in Rockport.

I used to go to Mom's over at by the Maritime museum but don't know if it is still in operation. Looking for some pogies or other small live bait fish.

Thanks in advance.

Anyone else going to be down in the Rockport area this weekend? Supposed to be fairly windy from the reports I am seeing.

I have been going to the bait stand at Fulton Harbor, been more reliable than other places for me. Probably going down this weekend, though I had more than enough wind this past Saturday.

You guy's should be more worried about the wind and where to find the fish than worry about live bait in a city that has a trademark on the name "The Toast of the Coast"

We're heading down this weekend. Weather reports I'm seeing looks like Friday might not be to bad, but Saturday looks like it might be sporty, and Sunday looks bad. We'll probably stick to the Aransas Pass area.

You shouldn't have any issues with bait between Fulton Harbor and Rockport Harbor. Wind might be a little sporty. Kinda like back in the Troutmasters days, "if it don't blow we don't go"!

Ya, the wind is certainly going to be an issue for sure. Friday doesn't look too bad, but Sunday is supposed to have winds in the 25mph range (no fun).

Will definitely be sticking to the leeward side of shore from the wind and trying to get on the fish. If nothing else, there is always Salt Lake area and some wade fishing plus lots of beer.

I'll be wade fishing and the wind will be at my back where "the wind will be my friend".

We were able to get on the reds on Sunday and caught a two man limit with a couple trout and flounder to boot.

Had a great time and it was definitely windy, but got up in Redfish Bay and had a blast.
