Many of you know the story of Bert and Dan Rodriguez's unfortunate flash flood incident on the Lower Pecos River back in 2014. For those that don't, they got trapped by flash floods halfway through the 60-mile trip, forcing them to abandon their kayaks and gear and evacuate via helicopter. Last year, I got a call from Bert telling me they were going to attempt the same trip in an attempt to finish what they started. I was invited to join them and document the trip. Having heard the story at a Mariner Sails seminar, I jumped at the opportunity to join in on this adventure and tell their story. Part One of the four part miniseries is now up for those of you who want to check it out: Huge thanks to Mariner Sails for supporting me on this trip and also Mountain Sports for their support of Bert and Dan. DFW is home to some incredible retailers. Parts 2, 3 and 4 will air each of the next three Tuesdays. Thanks, Robert. Your video did an incredible job of capturing the raw beauty of the lower Pecos. Its sheer majesty comes alive on the "small screen" and that's no easy feat.
