Been looking at maps and asking around, and the Colorado River from Colorado Bend State Park down to Tow has been mentioned. Not having much luck finding infor other than it appears to be about 10 miles.

Anyone done this or have knowledge of it? If so, my specific questions are:
1. Any good camping spots? Would like to do it as an overnighter if possible.

2. How's the fishing (bass)?

3. Any other pertinent information or tips are certainly appreciated too.

Thanks!

This falls into your category 3 at best. When I went paddling around the park several years back I searched for a shuttle service with no luck. Was lucky enough to hook up with a fellow camper while there and we did the 6-7 miles upstream of the park a couple of times. Put in at the private campground at Sulphur Spring. That section of the river was interesting with bluffs, a few pool drops, and Gorman Falls-I recall flow being around 400-600 cfs at the time, as measured at the Hwy 190 crossing. Been wanting to do the Hwy 190 to CBSP run since but can't seem to get shuttle partners and river conditions to come together. I would vote for the state to set up shuttle operations at select parks, CBSP being one of them, if there was voting on such things.

Thanks man. That helps. Sounds like I may be out and back when I go there.
