Numbers have been really good as of late with the occasional big girl in the mix. My son and I had 30 fish in the boat in the first 1.5 hour this morning (20 keepers) and had to leave them biting because we knew we couldn't win with the size fish we were catching. Raul from Bassman's Lodge and I took our boys back out for the last 1.5 hour of the evening and watched the boys as they boated 12 pretty good fish and had doubles a couple of times. Hector caught a snake 🐍 On the last cast of the day and it was getting dark so we shut it down. Gotta love those doubles! Nice looking couple of boys with their fish too.

I know it's not what you're looking for but I caught a 4-9 on a chunk of gizzard shad earlier this evening. Had another get off the hook right at the dock that would have been 3 or so.

That 4-9 is probably double the catfish weight I caught all night!
