Fished Joe Pool from 6:30-11:30 am. Winds ENE 10-20 mph. Cloudy/misty. Air temperature 64-70. Fished shallow on the east side of the lake targeting shallow cover. Fished with a 1/8 oz TX rigged green pumpkin lizard and a shallow diving black/white crankbait. Caught 7 fish-5 largemouth bass, one 14 1/4" sand bass, and about a 12" channel catfish. All fish were caught on the crankbait. I had some hits on the lizard, but I think they were short-striking the chartreuse dyed tail. The bass ranged from dinks to 2 1/2 lbs. I feel like I made a mistake by not upgrading to a heavier TX rig and a darker lizard. Oh well. There's always improvements to be made. Tight lines!
