I was sent to do aome work around the 175& Buckner area. I walk in to the breezeway of this apartment building. Get greeted by about 5-6 nice gentleman who were really concerned about me taking the rest of the day off. Conversation went about like this.

That apartment right there to do some work

No you ain't

Yeah got the key right here

I said you ain't working here today

Fair enough, ya'll have a good day.

I went out to my truck and called the bossman. He was an old miser, that was more worried about that $300 job. That conversation went like this.


We're going to have to cancel this job

Why

Because there are several large black fellas in my way that said they didn't want me working there, and I'm inclined to listen.

Go to the managers office, and have them tell those men to let you through.

Not gonna happen Bob. I'm pretty sure they call the shots around here.

(Getting really short with me) wait right there. I'll call them and handle it.

Call them all you want. I ain't going back in there. Since I'm by myself. Nobody is going to watch my back while I'm working.

(In a sarcastic tone) I guess I lose that revenue for the day.
