OP SLABXPRESS Extreme Angler Joined: May 2002 Posts: 2,097 Teague/Lewisville, Texas	So I've got a free Saturday, and of course the wind is gonna blow 15 mph all day. Any suggestions on local lakes where a guy might get out of the wind a bit and find some crappie? I know there at different depths on different lakes right now. Was thinking probably west side of one the local lakes: Lewisville, Grapevine, RR, Lavon, etc. Only been up here about 6 months, and Lewisville and RR are the only two lakes I've really been on. Just don't want to make a long drive. Oh, and I have a 19' Ranger. Not scared to get out in it a bit to get where I need to go. Any input would be appreciated! Wolfs rip-n-lips Green Horn W Joined: Oct 2009 Posts: 13	EW, If you were heading 365 miles south I'd tell you to fish the south side of the small island leaving BJ's Marina in the East Fork of Lake Houston. I got 3 BP's of cypress and pvc in 12 to 14 FOW that's protected from a north/east wind. I'm sure you wouldn't vacuum every fish from those holes for my future trips. There's like 50,000+ crappie chasers here and "0" replies, Crickets, Seriously, Crickets!!!!
