Add what you may from the area...
I went for a couple hours to Breckenridge on Saturday, but I may have gone too late. It was around 11 am, and it was on a whim.
I fished the banks along with another fisherman in the bigger eastern pond off Renner.
I got a few bites, landed nothing, and saw 2 snakes within a few steps that scurried off.
The moss in the water wasn't too bad...the late'ish start probably was!

A week before I fished the creek at BeltLine and Jupiter which is Richardson.
I saw a few bass, but landed none with no bites. I don't remember the time, but it may have been closer to mid-day, and again, on a whim.
The moss was brutal with every cast.

Breckenridge looks SO fishy to me, especially the West pond that runs up under Renner, but I've only had limited success out there. And I seem to come across a lot of snakes too. I've never fished the East pond though.
The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope. --John Buchan

From what I've been told, the big pond that goes under Renner dried up a few years ago, and then after a few Springs, the rain filled it back up, but there aren't fish in there, or hardly any.
There are fish in the East pond. I've caught them before, but not on my last visit, and apparently there is decent fishing at the small pond in the park.
I'll head back, maybe this weekend, but I'll go earlier. I'll keep an eye out for those snakes as well, but they are everywhere.

I fished Breckenridge twice this past weekend, and the east pond does have some good sized bass. The first time I went Friday morning from 10-12 am, and the second time from 7:30-9 pm. The bass were jumping out of the water every 2-5 minutes, no joke, at least 20-50 feet from shore. Very few jumped out of the water near the shoreline. I caught a couple, but that was it, both times on a white swimbait. There was one place where they jumped a lot, but I simply could not figure out how to fish in and through the weeds/grass/brush. Even with weedless baits, I kept getting snags. I managed to cast sideways and catch a couple, but the bass were jumping a lot in front of the weeds opposite the shore. They also jump a lot out in the open. I kept casting where they'd jump, but again, I only got a couple. The distance from standing behind those bushes to the front of those weeds is about 20-25 feet. It simply drives me to want to go back! ...------
