 What size hook is recommended

I use 1/16 and 1/8 the oz ball heads with sickle hook but I can't remember what size hook need. I'm using a standard size 1.5 jig body. Thank you for any help.

#4 and #2 are the "common" jighook size's. The #2 will be a little bit longer.

Talk to mt pockets on this forum or Ron rigs.. They can help you out...

When I fish in brush (90%)I like to use #6 hooks, because they hang up less...I normally downsize my baits, but not always...when I am fishing other structure, I normally use a #4 hook...if I am fishing with some of the deep pile fisherman, I use a #2 hook and a mega sized bait, such as a thermocline Mr, Fry or slab bug, with a 1/8 oz head....took me a while to figure that out.....hope it helps you.

Thanks for all the info....my problem is I have some #6's but I don't always get a hookset...the eye of the hook is too close to the tip of the hook...missed a lot fish.
