Thanks guys for the information. My next question is, what brand or type of fixed or slip do y'all prefer?

Thanks guys for the information. My next question is, what brand or type of fixed or slip do y'all prefer? I don't care, as long as it is the right size for the jigs, I'm using...if I had my druthers, I prefer balsa wood corks.

Both...fixed for a jig/bobber setup when fishing 4' and less...slip cork rig when deeper than 4' and when I am targeting structure. This! As far as brand, I love the brand that is in Walmart (not sure of the name). They are cheap and work very well. You are going to lose several if you are fishing in the right spot.

I use slip corks mainly with a weedless jig head, I can pitch it into thick cover if needed and it will pull right out of it pretty easy.thill is the brand of cork.
