Im new to fly fishing. I love to bass fish and Iv found bluegill fishing with my 5wt rod pretty fun! What are some tips on what kinds of flies I should get for bass and bluegill and also knot suggestions! I dont want to break the bank on flies... Iv seen most cost around 1.50 for just a small little beadhead nymph. Any suggestions or places to buy from that are cheaper would be great! Thank you!

Ebay is great for buying flies. You can find some of the smaller patterns for $6-7 per dozen.
I think anything that looks like an insect works pretty well for bluegill. A regular part of their diet consists of insects that were unfortunate enough to land on the water near them.

I would second the suggestion for Pearow. He ties awesome, quality flies that catch fish. Other suggestion are: Big Y fly co. North 40 Fly Shop The Fly Shack Fish On!
