Yes Curtbass, reeds make a huge difference in idle. Doesn't sound like I have a huge cam in it anymore.

Yes Sir, I took a shot on a shortblock powerhead. I need to do a little de-carbing but all is working smoothly right now.

Smooth sailing today, compression is a little low but consist and throughout. I'm doing so de-carbing still.

I have another post with a little troubleshooting issue.

Tuning the carbs is a challenge. I get a little bogging at first acceleration but it gets over it and on plane nicely and runs great wide open.

Thoughts? Just more tuning?

Make sure the all the carbs are completely closed and they all open together and start off with the air screws at 6 turns out and then start in at about 1/8 turn til it starts to lean sneeze then back out a 1/4 and go to next one til all are done then try it.....OPTI
