I haven't made it up there yet. Got to busy chasing a big buck at the ranch. I am going to drag the boat up to the ranch in March and try to make a couple of trips. I will give ya shout when I do. Maybe you can come join me.

Something to keep in mind for those that don't have a boat. You can park on Slab Road and walk down the Llano River or if the water is flowing good you could probably Kayak it. At Least you use to. Also on another little hidden spot is the Hamilton Creek Bridge on 1431 between Marble Falls and Smithwick

Is the Hamilton crossing public land? Can you walk the bank? Have always wondered about that place...looks like a good spot for a hike n fish!

"Ahhh, yes yes...who has time? Then again, if we never take time, then how can we ever have time?"

I know fold fish under the bridge. As for the rest it is private land. In High School I would walk/wade or put my little two man boat in. Times were different back then though.

We went all the way up past the first set of rocks and fished that area. We did ok, caught 15 the first day and 12 today. Only fished from about 10-3 each day.
