Anyone give me an idea of the time they will start their migration in Central Texas?
So looking forward to having the kids get on them again this year.
Thanks

Wow. We're behind the curve. I'll head out today and take a look.
Thanks.

Spoke with about 2 dozen fishermen in and around the Bosque and the consensus is that the run hasn't started. Maybe another week or 2 before it's in full swing. Even the guys who kayak up stream are reporting no sandies seen up by the cliffs.
We were getting limits last year as late as mid March. Seems they're a little sluggish this year.

Most upstream catches currently are little males which always arrive early to the party. The bigger fish are waiting on water.. a good rise of the rivers and creeks will get the party started and it might happen with this next cool front that is predicted to bring with it significant rain. In my area we are just now starting to dry out and if it rains enough (maybe two inches or more) the Yegua will be on fire with lots of whitebass! A week of muddy floodwater and poorer fishing will lead to a bonanza of epic proportions!
