Monti was tough today but we ended the day with a few good ones. My friend who I take a few times a year had big fish at 6.4 on a brush hog.

The day after catching a lot of fish is still a good day.

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

Anytime you can go to a lake and catch a 6+ fish.....I'd say it was a successful trip. I want one of those.....I haven't caught one like that in years. But, I haven't been sick in years, either.

Seriously, great catch! That cat has a huge smile.

I couldn't believe it when we pulled up at 10am and saw 30 trailers. It was a great day out of the office and seeing a good friend catch a great fish was a bonus.

The day after catching a lot of fish is still a good day.

I told you Fairfield was the better choice. eek Just kidding......

I was on Monticello yesterday with a friend. The bite was very tough for sure. We were able to catch some fish, but most came very late in the day. Most fish were caught fishing SLOW....

I like to fish faster, but the reaction bite was off for us.

The pressure on Monti has been brutal the last few weeks. Almost reminds me of the 1980's when they used to give out patches at the country corner for a fish over 7.
