When is the last time an event from Bass Champs or FLW was held on Conroe or Livingston or any other lake I listed? I don't think anyone can state definitively that people wouldn't come. Yea there may be a few the live on or near Rayburn that won't want to drive, but then again there would be plenty of new fisherman on or near other lakes that would fish. Rayburn just had a huge turn out because the sport is growing, they haven't had that big of a field during the last 4 years, I know because I have fished them all.

Regarding where to have the events, I know for a fact that Livingston has a place because TTT fishes there. Oh and last I checked the classic is coming to Conroe, so again I am sure there are numerous places to hold the event at on Conroe and any other lake.

Granted the Ray-Ledo lakes are awesome, but they are getting hit really hard and I am not the only one that would like to see other lakes from time to time be on these trails.

Not to mention, as Jaret stated, these lakes are hit just at hard if not harder than Fork yet TPWD or the tournament trails aren't taking the money and/or time to replenish the lakes.

The only reason Fork doesn't hold bigger tournaments like these is because of the slot. He TTBC and other events had rules on em but Fork was kicking so many over when they held them there that they had to go back. Fork for me is a great lake but it absolutely sucks come tournaments. A 24" fish is normally a 9lber. Those arent caught everyday/tournament.

I would expect that with the crazy number of entries you will see the trails start to raise the entry fees. This will keep the money rolling, may even increase but will likely reduce entries. Just another money grab. Cost of hobbies

Thats it time to sell all the boat and tackle and go play golf. That sport was blowing up 10 years ago like fishing is now and with the cost of fishing verses golf and the crowded lakes I see golf making a come back soon!

I'd rather be broke and fish than have lots of money and have to play golf. Most boring thing I've ever done and then there are people that actually watch it.

I don't know of a place on Conroe, or Livingston that could handle Bass Champs or TTT with the numbers they hit on Rayburn.

Where is the college tournament out of?

If Toledo can start a program for 10lb fish being released then I think a restocking program for Rayburn could be done. It's only the most pressured tournament lake in the country. I would have no problem paying an extra $10-$20 per person per event. Heck some events you are already in it for $400-500. $20 is a couple baits.

But honestly do u think Rayburn needs to be re stocked? It's fishing good and is a healthy fishery.

At this rate it won't last long. The high water the last few years kept a lot of fish out of reach of fisherman so they actually had a chance. It won't take long to deplete those. I don't really think stocking fingerlings is what we need although it would certainly help. If we Latta said, we throw in $10 or $20 per tournament that should raise enough to grow some stock fish up to around 2 or 3 lbs where they will survive and beef up the lake

It's fishing good due to 3 years of high water. 3 years of spawn classes protected by flooded cover does wonders for a lake.
