Try a store bought adhesive remover,Goo Gone,etc. Better not not get it in their mouth though,it will probably kill them.WD-40 is also a pretty good adhesive remover. Hard to tell what species they are,maybe young Brown Thashers?

When I was in elementary school, I got home and we had a sparrow in our fire place. I caught it with a fishing net, tied fishing line around its leg and flew it around in the backyard.
