I forgot to add that about 90% of their fish were caught on pink 1/16th ounce jig heads with Bobby Garland baby shad in threadfin shad color deadsticked just above the bottom in water from 14-20ft deep. The other fish bit 1/8th ounce pink jig heads tipped with minnows. The minnow bite really started when they already had 40 keepers in the livewell.

Man what a difference a few days can make on the crappie bite. Today I had Aubrey and his son Jackson out for some crappie lip rippin on Lewisville and the fish just didn't want to bite. We could see the fish but they just didn't want to bite anything. We finally had 2 windows of about 30-45 minutes that we found them and they turned on. Both times was fast and furious. The end result for the day was 40 keepers in the livewell and well over 100 thrown back. The first time they turned on they fished out 4 dozen minnows in less than an hour. The second time it was all jig fish. Both times the fish were holding tight to brush. Lots and lots of boats fishing today and that may be a big reason for the bite shutting down. Looked like a lot of boats struggled today.

Spot on with your report for Monday. This fish didn't move, just didn't want to bite. Lucky for you your bag of tricks is deeper than most.
