Awesome catch Chuck...Ya know, that was where I was finding them on Dunlap as well, but out of the 60+ bluegill caught this week, I did not catch one red ear of any size...not one...it just baffles me how they were so thick the past few years, and now are few and far between...

Thanks Leo and Vogey for the replies. Vogey: Been picking up the Redear on the lower end of the lake. 12 to 15 feet of water by drop offs and on ledges. Also fish dock slips and docks in the 10 to 15 feet of water range. No trophy size but some very nice 8 to 9 inch fish!

Nice fish. Good job Chuck!
Side Note: Looks like winter patterns will be setting in. What's your take? Also I bet the Rios will be harder to find. Do you think the Rio bite is over for the season?

Nice fish as always Chuck. First day of winter today. Hang in there. Spring will be coming down the road. Side Note: How is the Crappie bite? Also due Longear stay active during the winter?

Thanks Curtis! The Crappie bite has been OK. Jigs Chartrues/black or Chartrues/pink either ones. 17 to 21 feet by brush piles and ledges. As for the Longear I usually catch some during the winter off of creeks at the end of light rapids. I also get a few off of brush piles in creeks located close to the banks. Side Note: The Longear bite on the Cibolo has been pretty good all year!
