Late Fall Nice Ones! - 12/01/16 08:17 PM
Fish have been SUPER ACTIVE this past week. Been catching good numbers of Redbreast,Redear,Bluegill,Longear, and even some nice Rios. The Rio bite has really slowed down due to the latest cold fronts. On Lake Dunlap fish are holding in 10 to 15 feet of water close to drop offs and docks. Fish on the creeks are holding close to brush piles by the bank and at the end of currents. Just about all of the fish I have been catching have been in 7 to 9 inch range. Very few small ones (under 6 inches)were caught. Caught three trophy Rios in the 9 inch range and a few in the 8 inch range. All fish are health, fat, and full of fight. Creeks are in very good shape with good currents. Fish were caught using worms with both bottom and float techniques being used. All fish were released to fight again. Some GREAT late fall fishing. It just don't get any better!
