 Help with striper and whites on travis

About a year ago I was having a great time catching whitens and striper on Travis with slabs, crank baits and top water. Since the they packed up and left home does anyone have any good tips for whites fishing this time of year?

I would go up into the creeks and and pitch around the private boat docks and marinas
