Looking for thoughts/feedback on the Ulterra iPilot vs the Fortrex trolling motor. I have a Ranger R93VS and looking to put a new trolling motor on (80lb). I have heard indifferent discussions on both. Looking for feedback from someone that has either mounted on their bass boat. Thanks,

I have mounted both on the boats. Unless you get a slide plate, the Ulterra will "hang over" the front apx 6" to allow for the transmission to clear the boat. To most this is a problem with loading and unloading a boat. If you're looking at the Ulterra for the auto stow/deploy system, that is the only motor with it available. If you're looking at the IPilot features and/or the track/trails and interlinking with a Humminbird Depthfinder, then look at the Ultrex as mentioned above. It gives all those features, plus stows and deploys on a Fortrex mount. It is foot controlled, or can be controlled with the IPilot remote. Call me it I can help. John
