sometimes new mags have really tough springs, they need to be broken in so to speak.

if it came with 2 mags have you tried to load the other one?

Depending on capacity the 10th, 12th or 15th round should start to hurt. 4th should be easy

My bad. Only pistol I have with less than 10 is my P238.

Yes they do work. Get you one of these and some spare mags. You will be so much happier.

7 rounds? My daughter's little pistol holds 7. I'd want 10 mags on my belt with something like that. LOL

Might not be a bad idea to check to make sure you are loading the right cartridge.

Nice pistol. I bought it in 9 for my wife, but it is a fun gun to shoot. I got the one with the ported barrel, that sucker is loud lol

i had the same problem, work hard jam them in there, let them sit for about 2 weeks then take rounds in and out while watching tv. it will soften up big time. mine was so hard it was denting the casings on rounds below the one i was trying to put in. But it will losen up jsut carry it around for a while and dont unload it for a few weeks it will soften up 50% for sure.

Yeah I guess it's a trade off of sorts. It's less rounds but also less weight and very slim profile since it's a single stack. It's been a good gun to carry around. For home defense or in the car I like something with more capacity because weight doesn't really matter. It would be interesting to me to see a statistic showing the avg number of rounds fired during a self defense situation in public.

That would be my guess also.
My CM9 holds 6+1 about the same size as a Shield.
I'm comfortable with that many but I keep a spare mag handy just to feel good. That little mag sits just fine in my pocket so that gives me 13 total. I doubt I'd ever fire more than 3. But if i did have to fire it, 3 is probably the exact number I'd let loose.
