In my 16 ft. aluminum Basstracker, 15 mph or less. Being retired and no tournament fishing, I can pick my days.

In memory of my childhood friend Dan Sterling, who taught me at an early age how to catch bream with a hand-line, and who unknowingly hooked me on fishing for life.

20 mph is about my limit on a large lake. If I'm on a smaller lake, then I'll stay until it's 30+.

Was on Fork during McDonald's tourney when Rita blew through. 70 mph wind gusts were pretty rough. Ifyou had anything on the deck it had to be strapped down or it was going in the water lol. Fishing was good though.

Fished a tournament on East Lake Toho(bowl shape) with Lake Wind Advisory, blowing at take off.
Wind out of NW, had a spot on NW side 1/8 mile from ramp in anticipation. Needless to say a little boat damage was incurred, few swamped boats, couple of trolling motors coming off, few speared wave, for those going across lake. Wind blew between 30-40 MPH durning the day. Never again!!!
Lake Wind Advisory= No Lake Day, tournament or not.

Anything over 20 I'm only fishing if I can put in somewhere protected and stay there. I'm not a fan of waves. It's been expensive in my experience trying to deal with waves.

Fun fishing 12-15 mph. Tournament fishing 30 max and that's pushing it.
