We started out the morning cleaning the iced down fish from the prior evening, then eating some
BIG breakfast tacos that Belinda had prepared for the trip
Got on the water around 10am, started scanning where we had left off.
Once structure that had fish was located, we set up on it and snatched the aggressive fish
Once the bite slowed, off to scanning again...peat...and repeat
At some spots, they would hammer your jig as soon as it got to the right depth, others, lower your jig, give it a slight shake, slowly raise your jig and they'd be on
Although the major feeding period was going to start at 4, by then my back had had enough, so I called it saying we had enough to clean for the day
We had 80 fish, no big monsters, but quality, "No Measure" fish
We had planned to fish the next day also, but after waiting till noon for the rain and lightning to subside, we called it, packed up and came home.
I was kinda disappointed when halfway home, the skies opened up and it got pretty
Still have to say that it was a GREAT trip and Lake Palestine is an excellent choice for someone wanting to learn to use their electronics.
