I was out this morning. Had a good morning on the left side of the dam around airport park. Wind was blowing baitfish into the coves. Flip creatures at shallow timber around the mouth of coves. Wind was a hassle but well worth it. Also, check out the cove under lake shore Dr bridge... it produced this morning and last week also.

Went there for the first time a few weeks ago. I lived there my last couple years of high school and went to Baylor for 6 years. Never fished it. Only blasted around in a jet boat. I fished the lake shore bridge area, because it was all I knew(we used to jump off of it for fun). Caught 13 pounds before 8 am. Culled all day. Still got beat by guys with a 10lb kicker and another group with an 8 and a 7 for "kickers". Awesome lake. Everyone in the top groups fished different styles and depths. The guy with the 10 was right near me. Just unlucky for me I guess.
I never went to the areas I was gonna try. Gonna go down and give it a whirl again this weekend.

Oh....the lake shore bridge cove was the old river bed before the lake was enlarged and a new dam built. It's DEEP through the middle for quite a ways. Fish WAY back into the creek pastthe old bridge and road bed.
I THINK this is correct. At least i was told this. The road bed and bridge I verified.

I have only been fishing the lake for about a month and lake shore drive is the only constant producer. Try the southwest side of the cove, the timber and submerged fallen trees come out from the bank about 30-40ft.,I'll throw a t-rigged creature to the bank and pull it through all that junk and get bit. If you see a blue and white skeeter out there stop by and say hello! Hope this helps!

I don't mind sharing! There are plenty of fish to be caught and I am not fishing for money, not just yet. Catch me next spring and summer and I'll be in those Wednesday night tourneys
