Hey everyone. I'm heading to Texoma for the first time early tomorrow morning. Planning to get there around 7, launching from the dam access. I was wondering if you all could give me a few pointers on where to go for the crappie. I've never been and I figured I would go up grandpappy point and look for docks to shoot and brush piles. Do you all think I should launch from grandpappy point instead of the dam access? I read there is no launch fee at grandpappy point. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Captain, I wish I had seen your post SOONER! I can't comment much on the south side of the lake but, I fish the north side and can tell you to fish shallow. If you are fishing over about 8' deep, you are not going to be happy with the results. You might hit a bunch of dinks in deeper water but, the good fish seem to be much shallower. Texoma is going to fantastic in the next few years. I've never seen so many short fish, ever.

Thanks OkieBob for the input. I did sort my way through the dinks once I found them. I found them in 20Ft of water but suspended at all depths. I caught one of my largest right at the bottom and another right at the surface. I only found one brushpile under a dock holding crappie where I caught quite a few.
