have not had much luck when taking my kayak out here recently, I do not have a fish finder yet, and do not know where any "feeder" creeks are, any tips would be greatly appreciated

will definitely try, I was poking around shallows with tons of cover, gnarly places I don't think a boat could really get to but had no luck, then I tried a rock wall that the wind was blowing against, and again no luck

Take your " yak " and go up to the Fort Worth nature center and put in up there and fish the river. Perfect area for fishing with a Kayak! T-rig, Jigs.
If only i had enough time to make one more cast!

T-rig, Jigs. still pretty new to my "yak" and honestly I don't believe I have ever been to the nature reserve so I will try and go with someone who's been there already, but I will definitely check it out thanks

In addition to the square bill, try a green pumpkin or blue/black worm or small craw, T-rigged or shaky head. Early morning if you can. Start in shady areas and follow the shade. Rocky banks and docks often hold fish. Larger fish have been harder to catch my last 2 trips, but did catch a 5 lber last week under a dock.
In memory of my childhood friend Dan Sterling, who taught me at an early age how to catch bream with a hand-line, and who unknowingly hooked me on fishing for life.

Frog on cloudy days or first thing in the morning around reeds and grass, after that switch to a 1/2 T-rig with a blk/blue beaver in the reeds. 2 weeks ago I should have had around 25-28lbs on these baits just lost 3 over 6 that hurt and it produced this past weekend...good luck

If you hit the river in the morning or evening, be sure to really pile on the insect repellent. It's insane.
