There is a lone wolf massive stump on the east side of the main lake that is slowly migrating wherever it wants to go. It hasn't moved much in the last month....but with big north winds arriving next couple months I think it will go back south again. What's weird is you can pull up to it and stand on it. It feels like it's connected to the lake bed. But it isn't. It slowly moves. If you are traveling from Sun Point to Cloud Point it will be right in your path. Be careful, it's a biggun. That's a beast. I saw one North of the 2 mile bridge on the East side of the lake between the bridge and Wind point a few weeks ago. It wasn't as big as that one, but I had never seen it right there before.

If you found that floating in the gulf there would be a dolphin under it. Actually anything floating will attract a dolphin. Weirdest thing I ever saw. Didn't mean to hijack the thread.

Do not encourage anybody to put metal rebar in it to mark it. See it all the time on Lake Livingston and whatever you put on the rebar comes off. then you have a metal spear coming out of the water. Not good.

I carry a few of those empty yellow oil jugs for marking wrecks like that. I've hit a few and know the damage it can do. I may be out there next week and will look for it. Or, if anyone else can tag it do so - save a brother a from a painful experience.

There was one on CC last weekend just east of Crappie Island I thought it was a tree connected to the lake bed but it moved overnight.
2 Bedroom Lake house on CC for rent. P.M. me!

Thanks for the heads up. Just put a tritoon out there at Rabbit Cove and just starting to learn the lake. If not for this forum I would have been one of those idiots hauling across the middle of the lake. Never would have imagined there were 30 foot tree tops just under the surface.
