Hello C.A.S.T. TOP SIX Couples,
Well it's Friday and I promised I'd tell y'all where you're going to for this year's TOP SIX Invitational Tournament. First let me say it has been a bit of a challenge this year to find a location to eat, find hotels that were acceptable, plus not overcharging for a night's sleep, and a lake that was not so full you couldn't launch, over fished by too many tournaments, or so out of the way some would have to drive six hours to get there!!! But I think we'll have a good time regardless.
So without further ado, you can cross Lake Belton off your fishing list for the next two weeks because as of now it is OFF LIMITS to you!!! You will not be able to fish, ask someone to fish, or watch someone fish on Lake Belton until Friday, September 9th at 9:00 am. You can scout the lake until 4:00 pm on Friday, September 9th but no fishing is allowed until Saturday, September 10th when the tournament officially begins. I would recommend you do not even have fishing rods in your boat while scouting the lake on Friday. If anyone is observed or caught fishing the ENTIRE regional team will be disqualified and no refunds will be given. Please follow the rules. Tournament launch will be from the BLORA boat ramp on Saturday morning beginning at 5:00 am.
Everyone will meet at El Chico Restaurant, 3303 S 31st St, Temple, TX 76502, (254) 771-3080 beginning at 5:00 pm on Friday, Sept. 9th, for dinner and registration. If you will not be at dinner please let us know as soon as possible. Dinner will be from the menu posted to your regional Facebook page, plus water, tea, or lemonade. You can order adult beverages at your own expense.
Hotel assignments are as listed on your regional Facebook page or check with your regional director if you can't find it. Please check into the hotel your region is assigned. If you wish to arrive the day before or stay the day after you must pay for those days from your own pocket. Your entry fee pays for your stay on Friday night only!
Congratulations on making the team for this year's TOP SIX Invitational. We know you worked hard to get here and you deserve the best opportunity to win. Each region's highest finishing couple should take the responsibility of acting as Regional Captains. Captains are allowed to coordinate meetings between team members and help their region work out strategy for the whole team. If you fish this tournament as individual couples your chances of winning are not as good as those who can put together a team effort and work their strategy as a team.
Until Later... God Bless and Good Fishin'!
