I started Saturday morning graphing deep timber and finding nothing, well except one lonely big catfish!
I continued going more and more shallow until I hit about 11.5 ft. The fish were there in large numbers! Started with Thermocline Lures mini tadpole in Black Emerald Shiner, and first drop, fish on! Boated three nice ones and moved on searching.
Found two more spots in the 11.5 FOW range and searched shallower. As soon as I hit 10.5 FOW, Merry Christmas!
I found me a Christmas tree full of big ornaments!
Went to the Mini Tadpole in Silverflash Chartreuse and it was on! The 1/24oz jig head proved to be the killing combo. 1/16 fell to fast and 1/32 too slow. Caught and released 37 on the day, off the water at 11AM!
That mini tadpole is one mean crappie catching machine!

A job well done, if you are back on the pines some how about a report. Been along time since I have seen anything.

That catfish was prolly waiting on you to drop a crappie on his nose! He knew you didn't have a big enough net to get him in the boat! roflmao

Looks like you've got your units tuned in well....those are some nice shots (and fish of course).

Good deal!

The driving force and secret desire of every bass fisherman, is to one day be a crappie fisherman............Could it be that the good Lord just smilies and looks the other way when a fisherman tells a lie?
