I sell both and both work great if they are installed correctly, but Nobody can beat the customer service @ Power Pole

This exactly.

I started with one pole, but it didn't take me long to figure out I wanted another one. A buddy and I installed the second pole and the xi5.

I have had 10' PP Blades for 3 years on Z9. Installed myself. Rothwell Marine in Arkansas had the best pricing and really fast shipping when I bought the first one. No sales tax either. The second one I waited till Tackle Warehouse had their 15% off sale and bought the second. You wont like just having one. Wind blows you around in a circle. I use them way more than I ever thought I would. My poles cracked recently and I called customer service. No questions asked the sent me new poles within a couple days. Also get the wireless buttons that mount on the deck too. You can get those on ebay.

After owning and self installing both power poles and talons, I will only be owning power poles from now on. I'm hard on my equipment and haven't had much of an issue with either one. The poles were just as easy to install my self. To me the talons take to long to deploy. Also, the poles cover a little more surface area, and you can angle them some, and will hold your boat better in higher wind situations. Niether one is going to hold your boat pointing the direction you want in a 30 mph cross wind. But i did notice the power poles held a lot better with wind due due how much area you can get them spread in shallow water not that I didn't like the talons, they are definitely a good product, but from an owner that has had both I liked the poles much better.

Both are good but talons just seem to be loud.

I made my own for my kayak out of 1" pvc and a pvc valve with a 8', 3/4" fiberglass tree stake used as power pole. I turn the valve and the pole drops. I put a T handle on it and push it in the mud and turn valve to lock it. Anchored.
When done I simply pull the pole back up and tighten valve to hold it up. This could work on a boat if you are strapped for cash. You can get the valve on Ebay and the pole on Amazon. Then rig it to your boat someway and you are set!
