Hit Waco Wed and found the fish at every stop 8-20 FOW. The Thermocline Lil Fry in silver flash and pearl ice were catching the numbers. After the bite slowed, I'd drop a Slab Bandit in Pearltruse and pick up a few more. Seems the change in profile and color would get a big fish to bite. Ended the day at noon with 73 on the clicker. Probably had 50 keeps. All fish released. Top 7 went 8.74 which isn't too bad for Waco. Not many boats out but did talk with cjcrappie early and again as we were leaving. He had his limit in the cooler. Took Sherri back Fri and the bite was the same, on the same pattern and baits. Fished till 11 with 43 keeps and about 25 dinks. Again all fish released. Lot more boats out Fri morning so I guess the word is getting out. Talked to Waco Kid at the ramp as he was heading out to add some brush piles. He's been on fish every time out. BFOD Wed 1.43

That one looks surprisingly skinny...should be much heavier. The fish we caught on Tuesday were really well proportioned. There is so much bait in the water, we actually struggled distinguishing out piles in some areas.

The driving force and secret desire of every bass fisherman, is to one day be a crappie fisherman............Could it be that the good Lord just smilies and looks the other way when a fisherman tells a lie?

That one looks surprisingly skinny...should be much heavier. The fish we caught on Tuesday were really well proportioned. There is so much bait in the water, we actually struggled distinguishing out piles in some areas. That fish was on the skinny side. Didn't catch any that were really wide across the back but several were full of shad and pooping like white bass when I pulled them out of the water. The shad colored baits are working well right now.

Sweet! You central Texas folks been overdue for some good slab snatching it seems! Hopefully the lakes level out and the crappie beatdowns continue!
