 Can a rod handle be shortened?

Is it easy/normal to shorten a rod handle by an inch or 2?

That would depend on what type of handle you have, but could be possible. I would really need to see the rod, so give me a call.

They're all split grip handles. I fish from a kayak in the seated position and the rod handle I use for pitching likes to catch on my clothes. It's a basic 6'9" MH Abu Vengeance rod from a rod/reel combo. Not a fancy rod.

Sounds easy enough, how many do you want to shorten and are they cork or foam? The butt piece would have to be completely replaced. I have a few cork and foam butt pieces in stock.

Just one, and it has foam pieces. I want to take 1-1/2" off of it.
