I was at Grapevine yesterday and used Katie Woods ramp. The high water ramp is open. The only other I know of at this time is Silver Lake Marina, but they charge $20.00. Katie Woods $5.00

Unless it has changed much from from a week ago the Katie's Woods parking lot is still closed.

GV can safely hold a lot of water so it is the last one to be drained after any flooding. Add that to the City of GV really doesn't want the lake traffic. They lose money if the lake is open and GV controls most of the parks and ramps. GV collects millions in taxes from the airport and don't want to spend any of this money on parks clean up and policing etc. so it's probably always gonna be this way. It's all about the money.

Not many but there are some mansions on the cliffs over on the north side and a few older homes on the south in the old Reed Addition west of Mcpherson slough. Even when water is over the spillway the houses are still a long ways up from the water.

The lake is down to only 3 ft over now and what do you know, they have cut the outlet flow down by over 400 cfs. Don't look for the lake to open fully until maybe September at this rate or even at all this year. Even if the lake gets back to normal pool they still may keep the parks closed for whatever reason.

Things are looking up. Trawick ramp opened and Katies parking lot opened. Lake is less than 2 ft over now.
