Lake HolbrookFor the last few weeks I have been splitting my day up with a morning trip on Holbrook before fishing the afternoon & evening on Lake Fork. The fishing on Lake Holbrook has been awesome. Today we had around 50 on a half day trip and this little lake has some good one's in it. The bigger fish have been caught on a 3/4 oz Football-Head Jig (PB&J/Mexican Heather) and the numbers are caught on a Drop Shot with 1/4 oz weight with a #1 rigging hook. When these fish are coming up to school, I will throw a weightless fluke (White). A lot of these fish are in the 2-3 pound range and we've had some 5-6 pounds with the biggest fish so far going 8 pounds. Here are a few from Holbrook. Lake ForkFor me the fishing on Lake Fork has been fair to good. The water temperature has been starting out around 82 and warming up to 87. I have been having to run around a lot to stay getting bit and we are averaging 15-25 fish on half day trips. I have a few spots in the mornings and evenings where I am finding solid numbers with a few nice fish and some really good under's. We are still working on getting the bigger fish though I am seeing an improvement. I am finding the numbers out on main lake points in about 10-15 foot. The Drop Shot has been my best bait. I am using a 1/4 oz weight with a #1 rigging hook set at 16''(Junebug /Red/ Mardi Gras) Where the larger fish have been on Lake Fork has been stuff like roadbeds, humps, points and pond dams in about 24-27 foot. I am throwing Storms, Football-Head jigs ( PB&J/Mexican Heather) and have also caught a few on the 10XD (chartreuse / blue back/ sexy shad) I will be out on Fork in the morning and will try and update this post for the next couple of days. I hope this information will help some of y'all coming out to fish. Thanks, E

What are you throwing on your drop shot? A 4 to 5 inch worm?

Appreciate it bud. Here's a 10.33 @ 26" caught today at Lake Fork with a C-Rig in 18' - I think these big one's are starting to chew.
