I found a very clean and smooth Calcutta 50 at a Flea Market for 75$...is that a fair price?..it's a gold reel with a little boat rash.
The driving force and secret desire of every bass fisherman, is to one day be a crappie fisherman............Could it be that the good Lord just smilies and looks the other way when a fisherman tells a lie?

well I bought it...loaded it up with 12lb mono...put it on an old med fast compre...it threw a wacky worm surprisingly far...seams a little loose...couldn't adjust the backlash out of it with the right side tension knob ...how do you adjust the brakes on it?

Side side cover off. Adjust small red (might be green) "weights". Click two (opposite sides of the spool) all the way out till the "click". Try casting again. Loosen side tension knob just so the bait starts falling by it's own weight.
