My old electric knife finally gave it up today. Had to break out the Bubba Blade. Kept a limit of fish this morning. Nothing really big but mostly 11 inchers. I did lose a double meat whopper while hoisting it over the side. I knew better than to try that and did it anyway...dumb. It was really big fish and since I don't have the fish or a picture of it....it will probably just get bigger . The water on Martin is still stained and the Shad Pole in tuxedo (black/purple) is still working very well. Fish were suspended in about 10 fow. Caught lots of unders and barely overs today. The unders would really thump it hard and the keepers would just barely tap it or just hold it...weird. Had a great day and hope you do to.

Nice haul! What did you think about the Bubba Blade? I liked my first one so well that I had to back it up! They are pretty darned good knives.

I just use it for a back up so I'm not really very good with it. I figure if I can get the fish filleted with it and not lose any fingers then I'm doing good. That thing is scary sharp.

I use the Bubba Blade on my crappie. I quit using the electric knife. I used to fish Martin Creek a lot. Haven't been there in years. Maybe one day we can do a trip swap. One day Martin creek, then next time lake Nac. Glad you caught a few. Do they still have the fish advisory up there?

No advisories on Martin Creek http://tpwd.texas.gov/regulations/outdoo...-and-advisoriesIf you talking about the fish kill back in the late 70's, they lifted that advisory in the mid 90's I'm thinking. Haven't caught any really big fish out of Martin this year but the numbers have been great. Several limits this spring.

Great news!!...Will be at Martin, camping with the family this Wednesday thru Sunday. Hope to get on em.thanks for the report.
The driving force and secret desire of every bass fisherman, is to one day be a crappie fisherman............Could it be that the good Lord just smilies and looks the other way when a fisherman tells a lie?

They are awesome, mine doesn't even get hot under steady use. I wish, though, that I had bought mine years ago when they were cheaper and my dad tried to get me to buy one!
