Just curious how you manage your rod locker. If you have tubes, do you just put more than one rod in the same tube with a rod cover to reduce tangles? I also heard of some people taking the tubes completely out and just laying them straight in the box.

Bass pro Rod covers on each Rod. I load about 12-15 rods and never get tangled just lay them over each other

Took the tubes out of the front but left the rear organizer in. Everything gets a rod sock and I can pile a ton of rods in now, the only issue I sometimes have is trebles hanging on other rod socks.

I took tubes/holder out two years ago and went to rod socks. Should have done it sooner. Reels get a little more cosmetic dings, but I can carry a ton of combo's without tangles or damaged eyelets.

Straight in the box, usually keep 14 in one box with lures tied on . I always give the line at least 1 twist around the rod before I put it back in the box.

Took the tubes out of my BassCat. Glad I did...so much easier to manage and pull rods in/out.

Guess I'll take the tubes out. I have a couple rods 7.5' + and they must extend past the tube length because they get "stuck". Thanks for the replies.

One thing I will say is use shorter rod socks than what they say they are for You only need the last eye covered It will help with tangles on hooks and lures

No Rod tubes or rack. Rod socks, lure wraps, and reel covers. 19 combos up to 8' in my 18' Champion with room to spare. Guess I need to buy a few more to fill it up.

Hated the tubes, took them out. No rod socks, if you spin the rod and wrap the line around it before putting it in the box they won't tangle, less clutter for me.

Rod socks and lure covers over treble hook baits. same here. I can get around 40 combos in it. Bad thing... I have to take out 39 to get to the one on the bottom. Lol. Realistically, I can store 14-15 and easily get them in and out. No more tubes.

8-10 set-ups with socks laying flat in the box, any more than that is overkill. I put white surgical tape on the rod butts and mark down line type and # test.
