Was out at Anchor Inn all weekend doing some camping and casual bank fishing. The lack of wind didn't do us any favors; it was a pretty slow. Shad were easy to get, though they were all threadfin, no gizzards.

The blues were not around much. Ended the weekend with about 15 eaters, one blue and the rest channels. Biggest was only about 3 lbs. It was still a fun weekend though. Several of the channels had bellies full of eggs.

Also caught an under crappie, she was only about 7" and somehow fit a 7/0 circle hook in her mouth. That was pretty surprising.

Didn't bother with any pics, nothing really post worthy.

At least you were out fishing on those beautiful days.

Yeah it was nice. Mt girlfriend caught her first catfish.

It's a good start, slower pace of fishing has its own rewards in a different way, especially when you're fishing with a lady.

Actually when I saw your post in the whitebass hybrids section I was going to tell you to go Sabin River just below the spillway, you can catch white bass. Hybrids and blue catfish there with ghost minnows. But I realized you were with a lady so the lake is more beautiful than the river.... Right now the river fishing is much better than the lake. Pm me if you want some info on spillway fishing.
