what type of grey color do you use for your magic clouser? which brand? where can I buy? I use "shad grey", it's light grey, it is not as dark as the grey color you use on your clouser.

I found the "darker" grey color buck tail at Barlows. The problem is the dye. I went to BP, Cabelas, Barlows, all grey buck tail they have are very light, till I made my second trip to Barlows, I found couple of them. So I tied few clousers.

For some reason I can't get good pictures of the clousers.

Great flies Moon. The water I'm fishing is very low flow rates so I don't use the heavier lead eyes. I use bead chain in still water and micro lead eyes in flow rates up to about 500 cfs. I find the slower sink rate provides for a better presentation. I've caught the majority of the fish on size 8 Eagle Claw laser streamer hooks. Up to this point, the smaller clousers have worked better for me.

sincerely thanks, Jamie!

I have clousers made with both heavier eyes and bead chain. I also use 8# hooks. I will make bigger ones to fish at Denison Dam.

Excellent looking clousers. You've definitely got the hang of it. I also prefer to use those red barbell eyes you have there. I believe they are brass. They sink faster than bead chain but not so fast as lead.
