Hello All. I will be visiting Amistad for the first time on April 8th weekend for a half day. I've located a few boat ramps on the east side via navionics app but when I look at them on google earth they look dry. What is the recommended boat ramp (preferably on the East side)? Also, when navigating the lake are there any specific hazards to be aware of that my navionics wouldn't show? Last but not least, any information about the fishing would be greatly appreciated (i.e. stage of spawn, water level, clarity, etc.)

Thank you for the suggestion. That seems like a good ramp at a good central location in the lake.

Rough Canyon would be the closest ramp to where I'll be staying. How is running the river down to the reservoir?

Run as fast as you want. It doesn't feel much like a river from Rough Canyon up to San Pedro. It's more than a mile wide in places.

All ramps are open and run just as fast as you want in the channel bouy to bouy. If running Humminbird Bird you'd set your lake level offset at 25 and you'd be good to go! But I guess you have Lowrance since you haven navionics. Fish are scattered, some spawning some still deep and some post spawn. As for water mostly clear a little stained in places. Hope this helps!
